Here’s my second photo of my friend. I only took three frames. I didn’t want anyone to see me photographing him. I wanted it to be our private moment. I asked him if I could take a photo and he said okay. I showed him the photos afterwards. Today, his left foot was wrapped with cloth. He showed it to me. It looked like it was swollen some and maybe infected, I don’t know. I asked him if it hurt. He said yes. I think I’ll ask my other friend who sells umbrellas to ask him about it. I wish I could help him get something for it.

I got my announcement cards back. They are too dark. The man at the shop even lightened them some for printing. I showed Wilson, the curator of my show. He’s going to call and talk to the folks at the print shop tomorrow.

Yesterday, I woke up thnking that maybe 3 years in Colombia is enough. I may be ready for a change. It’s not that I don’t like it here, it’s that I might want to live somewhere else for awhile. I have done a lot of amazing things here, and there are more I want to do. But, also, some things haven’t worked out like I’d hoped they would. I leave in about 3 months for the states. I will probably return in October, since I may be working on a book with the teacher, Juan Carlos, on the history of Bocas del Palo. If I return, I’m not sure how long I’ll stay. I’ve been doing some serious thinking lately. I feel strongly that I want a change.
